Michael’s background and expertise is in electrical/mechanical engineering and his experience
originates from the Manufacturing and Services Sectors where he worked for some of the best
known industrial engineering companies in the UK, John Brown Engineering, Harland & Wolff,
and EMIS Ltd. Michael brings to the company a first hand understanding of the issues
encountered at each layer of management as he has been responsible at Board level in leading
and directing Start-Ups, Growth Strategies, Development Strategies and Exit Strategies for
Companies during a career spanning over 30 years. During his career, he sought to match his
hands-on accomplishments in business, with academic achievements, including attaining an MBA
from the University of Strathclyde Business School and a PgD [Int. Mkt.] from Paisley University.

Donald Cameron Thomson: Investment Manager

Cameron’s contribution to the Business is founded in his far-reaching understanding of the needs of high growth Start-Ups and Business Expansion Plans coupled with his specialist expertise in business finance, including private and third party equity, encompassing the full range of bank and public sector funding mechanisms. Cameron’s experience has been perfected and sharpened having worked for three of Scotland’s leading banks over the last 20 years, during which period he has gained a wealth of experience including facilitating inward investment projects, and as a analyst and advisor on the viability and commercialisation of an extensive range of business proposals across multi-sectors.
